November 17, 2017

Seychelles has been known for its sandy beaches and its beautiful sunsets. A lot of people traveling to Seychelles include honeymooners and billionaires. A lot of travelers are actually wondering if it is even possible to enjoy the beauty of Seychelles without spending so much money. Could it really be possible to live side by side high-end travelers? Is it possible to get the best bang for your buck?

Planning your trip

Seychelles has a number of islands. However, most of these islands are uninhabited. This only means that your options come down to three of its main islands. Do you plan on staying in Mahe, Praslin or La Digue? Mahe is the largest island. This is also the place where their international airport is located. On the other hand, Praslin is a bit smaller.

It can be accessed via plane or ferry. And in order to get to La Digue, you will need to travel on a ferry from Praslin. Praslin is the smallest island among the three.

If you want to experience Seychelles for the least amount of money, Mahe is the cheapest island that you can stay in. It is also the biggest, which means that you have more places to explore. If you also don’t have much time to explore other islands, it is highly suggested that you stick to this.

Guesthouses

In order to get in Seychelles, you will need to make sure that you can show proof of your accommodation. You want to make sure that you take a closer look at your options. Staying in a hotel is not really a budget-friendly option in Seychelles. What you want instead is to check the guesthouses.

Not only are you helping families earn some extra money, you also don’t get stressed paying for something that is overpriced.

Airbnb is also a great option if you are staying in Seychelles. You will easily find highly reputable hosts that can provide you with all the necessities that you will need for your stay. You can even use filters to see which host offers a common kitchen or free internet within the room that you are renting.

Getting around the islands

If you are in La Digue, you will most likely not have cars to get around. You will most likely need to have a bike or an ox cart. On the other hand, if you plan on staying in either Mahe or Praslin, you will most likely not have a problem having a car. The good news is that you can rent a car for an entire day.

This can help you discover different places within the island at your own pace. But of course, if you are looking for a more budget-friendly alternative, you can always stick with bikes.
